COVID-19 Instructions
  • Please follow social distancing guidelines at all times
  • Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid-19 should not enter the play area
  • Users are asked to keep the number of parents, carers or guardians accompanying children inside the play area to 1 where possible
  • Please do not spend any longer than 30 minutes in play areas during busy times to help reduce the amount of people within the space, and ensure everyone gets a turn
  • If the play area is busy and social distancing is not possible, please do not enter the play area. Instead, please form a queue or come back later
  • If queuing to use the play area, please do so observing social distancing guidelines and not preventing other people using paths
  • Please clean children’s hands before and after use of the play area
  • Please do not consume food or drink within the play area
  • Please dispose of all litter including any used protective wear such as face coverings or gloves properly in litter bins, taking it home where a bin is not provided

Keinton Mandeville Playing Field provides recreational activities for all ages.

Situated on the edge of the village the large recreational field is regularly maintained and provides a children's playground, football pitch, tennis court, rounder's pitch and pavilion.

The playground has a climbing frame, slide, infant and junior swings, roundabout, zip wire and gazebo. All facilities are maintained and are annually inspected by ROSPA.

The pavilion has a recently refurbished kitchen, toilet facilities and is available for hire for children's parties or use of the Table Tennis table.

MUGA Multi-Use-Games-Area

Skatepark
There is a skate park situated to the side of the Village Hall.

Happy Tracks and The Wildflower Meadow
"Happy Tracks" park is situated at the village hall site and is designed espeically for toddlers. It has spring riders, a woodland trail, mound slide, woodland train, talking flowers, cradle swings and a nest swing, all perfectly sized for children aged 5 and under.

Through the gate at the rear of the park you will find the wildflower meadow, a lovely space for kids to run around and play - there are willow sculptures along the winding paths. With benches and picnic tables under a pergola it makes a perfect spot for picnics.

Please note dogs are not allowed in these play areas.

Walking
There are numerous registered footpaths and variety of walks within the Parish, these are signposted and have stiles where needed.

Tennis Club
The village has an excellent hard tennis court in very good condition. The court is on the playing field site and is kept locked. Regular players can be issued with a key on payment of a modest annual subscription. 

Casual players may obtain a key from the village stores for which payment is made by the hour. In the summer months a booking system is operated.

Keinton Ladies Rounders Team
Keinton Ladies Rounders Team compete in the Somervale Ladies Rounders League with 23 other teams.

Keinton ladies have been competing for over 30 years and continue to welcome new players. Even if you haven't "played since school.... but fancy a go" come and have a try. Our home pitch is at Keinton Mandeville playing fields, we play every Wednesday and occasionally on a Monday (6.30-8.30pm). The season runs between April and August. Keinton Netball Club
Our netball club has been running for 4 years and we are delighted to now be playing on the brand new MUGA. We have 3 sections to the club all of which train on Wednesday evenings:-

Mini's is for girls and boys aged between 5-11 years. They learn skills and tactics and will enter the Somerset junior U11 tournament at the end of the season. Training runs from 3,45-4,45pm
Juniors training is for girls aged between 11 and 16 and we currently run two competitive teams in this age group at U12 and U16 level. Training is from 6-7.15pm
Seniors training caters for all levels of players ,who would like to play in a competitive team or just to have a run around and meet other sporty types! We currently have a team in Somerset County league division one and run teams in the Yeovil and District summer league. Training is from 7-8.30pm.
